Does anyone else feel like the way “millennials” are sensationalized is similar to how the hippies were in the 60′s? Basically I strongly suspect that this kind of public humiliation and trivialization of our struggles through media is a form of self-maintenance tactic to keep the majority of the population in the dark about actual problems with society and the economy. Hence, you got all these neolib talkers talking about how “entitled” we are for asking things like a higher minimum wage, when minimum wage in the past actually did a better job in securing your livelihood financially and such arguments almost never factor that inflation is a thing.

I feel like the “millennial,” by and large, is a boogeyman coined to keep the public distracted from how corporate America is screwing well over half the entire population.

I know the jpop fanbase is small on here but the silence on the assault on a Japanese idol by 2 men is so worrying. Hating idol culture doesn’t mean you should ignore serious issues like this. If we don’t get this more attention Japanese media will literally ignore it because the group’s management is already making this girl apologize for HERSELF being assaulted in front of the men who assaulted HER. It’s disgusting and it shouldn’t go unnoticed.
